        LACTO homemade probiotics - Ingredients

LACTO or Homemade Probiotics (*1) is a sour, sparkling and fermented liquid that contains Lactobacillus (Lactic Acid Bacteria), yeast and a great variety of other types of bacteria and nutrients. To drink live bacteria sounds risky, but actually, and since ancient times, humankind has been consuming traditional probiotic and fermented drinks around the world. Such as wine or fruit ciders (Europe), Kvass (Russia), Toffi (India), Naam-Mak (Thai), Kefir or Kombucha. LACTO is a very useful solution, it has a variety of applications and it is so easy to make all by yourself!

        LACTO FUNCTIONS

We can use these functions easily with LACTO Applications

When we actually use LACTO, it works with the combinations of these functions depending on our applications.

        INGREDIENTS

We can only use organic ingredients for the LACTO culture: organic brown rice, organic sea salt, organic brown sugar and mineral water. We start the culture with a small amount of bacteria extracted from brown rice, after that we add the crystal of the ocean: sea salt, and the crystal of the land: brown sugar. All of these ingredients are going to be the food for these bacteria.

        CULTURE

One of the features of LACTO is to start the culture with wild bacteria extracted from plants' seeds. We don't use artificial starters for the fermentation in our recipe.

To collect good quality bacteria from plants or from a natural source is the key of our culture.
LACTO is produced mainly through the process of lactic fermentation and when cultured properly it is dominated by Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB), with an acidity level lower than pH3.6 (*2). All kinds of bacteria in LACTO are living in symbiosis and harmony. They are beneficial, useful and harmless  microorganisms, no pathogens and no bad bacteria can grow in our LACTO culture.

        COMPONENTS

LACTO contains more than 80 kinds of bacteria (*3) and more than 60 kinds of nutrients. Some of the nutrients in LACTO are extracted from brown rice, and some of them are produced by the bacteria growing in the culture. The amount of bacteria and nutrients will depend on the culture conditions and, in comparison with normal food and drinks, the nutrients in LACTO have been already digested by bacteria breaking them down to be fully and easily absorbed into the body.

*1. Probiotics are microorganisms that provide health benefits to humans and animals.

*2. The amount of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) in LACTO can be 1 - 10 million/ml when the process of LACTO has finished with lower acidity level than pH3.6.

*3. Bacteria, mold and yeast belong to microorganisms family. When we use the term bacteria  in LACTO-LIFE, it's actually considered microorganisms including mold and yeast. We call them 'bacteria' instead of microorganisms because we use mainly the features and effects of Lactic Acid Bacteria, and the bacteria is more popular and easy to call and understand.

*4 These nutrients are inferred from the nutrients of brown rice and bacteria. We are going to update the measured components after the scientific research has concluded.
